Robin Hood Daffy painting on eBay

In March of this year, I was asked to contribute a piece of artwork to the upcoming “Red Dot Auction”, a Chuck Jones Center for Creativity fund-raising event. Naturally, this was a big honor and I leapt at the chance. They sent all artists a 10″x10″ canvas to do with as we wished. So as a tribute to Chuck Jones, I did a scene from one of my favorite shorts “Robin Hood Daffy”.

As I hadn’t done a painting on canvas in years, I did two “practice” paintings. This auction is for one of those practice pieces. The final painting was described as being one of the favorites of the auction and sold for $300.
The painting is on a 10″x10″ stretched canvas, painted with designer’s gouache paints (an opaque watercolor) and inked with brush pen. The painting is signed on the back. I can also sign the front, if that’s the buyer’s preference.

BONUS: If the painting sells for $100 or more, the winning bidder will receive a free color sketch card of any Looney Tunes character they wish. To see more of my work and more detailed story about the creation of this piece, visit http://atlantajones.deviantart.com
